I had one I liked the size and feel of it, but when I took it to the range I could not get past the long trigger and reset. It shot well and my grouping was good at 7 yards so it is a solid firearm, but was not the firearm for me. I sold it and purchased a Glock 26.
She is 5'4" and 127 lbs or there about. She loves it because of the light recoil.
Of course our last range trip she fired my Colt 380 government model and I fear it may be hers soon. :ugh:
I hope you get your issued taken care of with a good cleaner and lub.
I purchased one for wife last year and it runs great. My wife shots 100 to 150 rounds every range day and we have never had a problem.
I picked a 2.5in 686 plus a few months ago and it is a great shooter. It is really a great firearm and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a 357.
Made it to the range today and put the 686 through some drills. I did two hand, left, and right hand shooting at 15 yards and was able to keep center mass. Not being a wheel gun guy I was very pleased with the results for the first time out.:rockwoot:
I have both the FNP-45 and FNX-40 and they are both great shooters for me. I shoot the FNX40 so well it made it easier for me to sell of my Glock 22.
The big difference between the FNP-9/40 and the FNX-9/40 / FNP-45 is the barrel is lower on the frame which helps control the recoil.
Thanks everyone for your help.
Darn, I have already ordered one. Enjoy the new firearm.
Thanks! I also like that it is a firearm that can file mutiple roles.
Thank you all for the help. I have made a decision and it is the Smith & Wesson 686 Plus. The extra round, heavy frame, and adjustable sights are all selling points for me.
Anyone have one?
Thank you all for all the info on models I have yet to research. There is one thing I should add to my search criteria, I want a revolver with a hammer. I also plan to carry in the waistband or sob, so I don't suspect weight will be an issue.
Thanks and keep your suggestions coming.
