That price is competitive for the current market, but you can find the same stuff @ $400 shipped elsewhere. With black Friday coming up...I'm expecting ammo to drop a little more in the next month.
I won't buy anything less than a $5 scratch off. If it's not life changing money..why bother? The odds are stacked against you, but people do win all the time.
Yes, I meant more per round and should have said .05 -.10. 9mm is up to $.30 unless you like driving around to Walmarts looking for 100 packs, and 40sw is $.36 -$.40. Midway is a bad source for ammo, limit of 2 boxes per type and the pricing is mediocre. Look around and you can find quality...
And since you know the pricing...you probably know that Federal Champion & WWB are towards the bottom of the list in terms of accuracy and cleanliness. I'm not necessarily anti-Walmart, but I'll take Speer, S&B, Magtech or Geco over what they sell anyday at the same price. The $32/100 price on...
After the latest price increase...I don't even bother with Walmart ammo anymore. Better handgun ammo can be had online for the same price or cheaper (9mm might be the exception), and their 223/556 is mostly overpriced.
I'm guessing you mean $15 minimum shipping on ammo purchases. I've bought several small items that will ship USPS 1st class for a few bucks. It looks to me like they charged the total shipping upfront on the oil, and I'd dispute any further s/h when your backorder comes.
I've had pistols in both calibers and ditched them all. For a measly .05-.08 per round...I'd rather shoot 45acp. I don't have the time to reload...talking factory ammo prices here.
I haven't been actively looking at Glocks, but I do remember CAF Sales on Gunauction.com (Cash America Pawn) seemed to get RTF Glocks in batches. I looked and there aren't any right now, but keep an eye open and you might get lucky.
You can't be serious about the 100gr Corbon 9mm. Any brand of 45acp "ball ammo" in 230gr will yield better penetration, and even with no expansion it's 230gr vs. a modest expanding 100gr bullet. I could go on and on....you might want to re-think your carry setup.
The carpet replacement is a common scam in apartment complex leasing. We lived in an "upscale" complex on the NW side years ago. The carpet was not new when we moved in, and had a few small visible patches from previous tenants. We lived there for 2.5 years, and during that time one of my...
Geco Ammo
I've never shot this brand before, but the reviews seem to be very good. I ordered some 45acp on Saturday and got the shipping notice this morning. Prices are the same or less than WWB from Wally if you buy in bulk. I'm seeing .32acp, 357mag, 9mm, 40sw & 45acp in stock. :yesway...
I saw a 30S at Bradis like 2 months ago $559. From looking at Gunbroker, the demand seems to have died down. Call around to several LGS in Indy and I bet you'll find one.
I've worked on/off at the new Wishard "complex" for the last 2+ years. There are three seperate buildings that can all be accessed without ever going outside. The FOB (Fifth Third office building) isn't a part of Eskenazi Health afaik, but you can make your way into the Hospital from it. It...
I just read through most of the blog as well....all the medical testing is a little mind boggling. This should be a good reminder for everyone to be safe and not sorry.
Here's my new carry rig. I'm loving this holster so far...it rides very low w/ a strong forward cant.
Kimber Ultra Elite in a Milt Sparks Nexus
Grips by Raasco
I've decided to part with this great little Kimber, has been reliable from day one. It was purchased new 06/11 and is in excellent condition, night sights are bright. I'd estimate the round count at about 400. The pistol will come in the factory case w/ papers and two flush fit 7-round mags...
