Wife, side arm, training, Cal. HELP!

From a wife's point of view I would say let her shoot whatever she wants. She might not be comfortable shooting the guns that you have. My brother was in the Air Force and told me that he would recommend a 9mm for me because it's easier to shoot because I am less experienced. He also explained...

Local woman starts chapter of The Well Armed Woman

I would love to find something like this in Northern Indiana. I think it would be fun to get together with a bunch of women and even men and learn more about guns and do some shooting as well.

Help, my wife is scared to shoot.

I like your idea Geek. If you get her started on something really small to give her a feel for shooting then maybe she'll be more willing to continue onto something bigger. I bought my kids an air pistol. It's fun to shoot and helps them to learn how to handle it safely plus it's fun for me to...

Carrying while dropping kids at school

So basically, if I'm carrying and picking up my kids from school and have to go into the school for some reason, I have to park off of school property, secure my gun in my car, and walk to the school to get them? Is this the same for colleges?

      Current LTCH Wait

When I applied, the lady at the Police Station told me that it could take up to 6 months to get it. She also said that if it was more than 6 months I'm supposed to go back to the Police Station and they will call them for me....so yeah it'll be probably June or July before I get mine. I didn't...

We survived the 2013 ammo crisis!

LOL well....I guess I learned not to wait to buy my first gun and ammo right in the middle of a crisis!:lmfao: Oh well, better late than never I guess. I'm going to stock up when the crisis ends. I'm not going to be caught with my pants down if I can help it.

How do we change the stigma on female gun ownership?

You would think after what we both have been through that the decision would've been easier for both of us. I'm glad you decided to do what's best for you though.

How do we change the stigma on female gun ownership?

I think that is what it will take for a lot of women. Finding women who have the same mentality about guns will be all it takes. I'm sure if I had a woman telling me about guns and my safety I probably would've bought one a lot sooner than I did. I just had my brother, who I thought was a little...

How do we change the stigma on female gun ownership?

I would love to say that I saw "the light" 7 years ago when I left my abusive husband but I didn't. CCing a gun at that time would've probably made me feel safer. As it was, I was always watching my back waiting for him to show up at any place and time to hurt me. I bought pepper spray and had a...

Wanting to check out a Glock 26

I'm looking for a personal carry handgun. I'm leaning towards the Glock 26 and was wondering if anyone on here would be willing to meet me to let me check it out and possibly shoot it. I had a Glock 19 and really liked it but it's to big for me to conceal carry it. I'm wanting to buy a Glock...

      Sig SP2022

I have the Sig 2022 and from a woman's and a newer-handgun owner's perspective, it's a nice gun. I like that the back strap can be replaced so that potentially anyone can use it. The smaller back strap fits my hand perfectly. (I don't have small hands, but my sis-in-law does and it fits her just...

      Hi!

I've been lurking on here for a couple of months now. I've decided it's high time that I got involved! The first of the year marked an important time in my life, I decided that it was time to put my own protection and the protection of my family squarely into my own hands so, I bought a gun and...
