Perhaps a change in Indiana LTCH

By the words in SB555, it doesn't seem that difficult.. Seems that if you've taken an NRA safety course, or had LEO or Military experience... you're covered. Nothing elaborate. If they're going to do this though, (since the odds of Constitutional Carry any time soon aren't very good), it seems...

Perhaps a change in Indiana LTCH

What would be the difference between getting training here, with ONE license that would be accepted in more states, vs. taking the training class, paying an additional fee, additional fingerprints & getting a Utah or Florida permit? You're essentially doing the same thing, except you're...

      Doctors Visit this AM

As someone that has worked in healthcare until recently, don't take it out on the people asking the questions, they are only following directives. At our clinic, that question has been asked for at least the last year, because I've seen it show up on our dictation. They do it under the...

Trying to be safest restaurant in Bremen, IN

If ya read the history of him & how that restaurant came to be, the spelling issues make sense: Sounds like a stand up guy, and with his son in the USMC, kinda makes more sense why he's such a supporter. I'd be happy to stop down in Bremen & support this place.

      School vs. Univerity

the section specifically referenced in the email (35-47-5-2.5) seems to pertain only to knives or sharp edged weapons: IC 35-47-5-2.5 Possession of a knife on school property Sec. 2.5. (a) As used in this section, "knife" means an instrument that: (1) consists of a sharp edged or...

ISP direc t # for LTCH processing?

Posted in the LTCH wait time post : I spoke with Amber yesterday as it had been four weeks, and the recording indicates a four week wait for L1 apps. I asked to check on the status, and she asked when I had applied and what method, and she informed me that it was in fact a seven week wait, she...

      Emergency Communications Class

Apparently you're not familiar with the one day class.. Not a prep class.. your students walk in, learn what they need to, take the test & leave at the end of the day with their ticket if they pass. Regardless if you explain the legalities, the fact is, YOU are the one providing them with...

      Emergency Communications Class

That's great & all.. but it's still against the law for them to receive police frequencies if they take them out of the house, without having a ham license. Like I said.. I think the concept is great, but if you know the law "up & down", then you'd know that it's against the law... but I'm sure...

      Emergency Communications Class

As a licensed ham myself, while I agree with the premise of the class, I have to say that putting transmit capable radios, programmed to ham & public safety frequencies, in the hands of unlicensed people is wrong regardless of the purpose. Here in St. Joe County, when the CERT teams were...

      Carrying without LTCH

And how many convicted murderers have been set free only to commit a similar crime later? You still think that people in this case should be permitted to legally obtain firearms? The justice system in this country is a very imperfect world, and we've all heard stories of people being released...

      Gasoline minus Ethanol

The bad effects of ethanol are the big reason there is such a fight on against the EPA mandate of 15% ethanol in gasoline. The negative effects have been well documented...

      LTCH Nonsense

St. Joe County was equally pain free.. Did my L1 prints, went right over to the jail up to the 2nd floor.. paid my local fee,and was in & out in a matter of minutes.

      LIVE FROM NEW YORK!!!

well what about this part: Stores that sell ammunition will have to register with the state, run background checks on buyers of bullets and keep an electronic database of bullet sales. These people are insane.

Clackamas Mall Shooter Was Confonted By Concealed Carrier (Oregon)

As usual, some media have taken a different spin on it. Here's a section off of msn: As gun control debates rage after the Newtown tragedy, new details about last week’s Oregon mall shooting are heating up the argument. It turns out the murderer was not the only one with a gun. Shopper Nick Meli...

      Digital copy of LTCH?

I wouldn't have a problem.. As long as the person has nothing to hide & isn't doing anything wrong, I can't see anyone having a problem. I know I personally don't carry a wallet, just my DL & Debit card, so having a digital copy would be nice, making 1 less thing to carry.
