      If it is a federal military installation then firearms are not allowed. It is federal property and state and fall under federal law. You get caught with a firearm on federal property and you will be subject to prosecution.

      I keep a gun my truck while I am at work because of work rules. I do not leave a gun in my vehicle at home. Generally speaking I am always armed even in my house. I take my gun off when I go to bed.

      My wife likes my 9mm shield. She like shooting it more than any of my full size 9's. She believes that the felt recoil on the shield is less than all of my full size handguns. Although I would suggest as others above that you should have her try many different ones and find on she likes.
