Haven't shot one, but handled a .45 this last weekend actually and like everyone said, they're bulky, heavy, and ugly as sin. The slide is so big it doesn't look like it even goes on the gun. You might be able to do as much damage by hitting someone over the head with one as you can shooting them.
Absolutely not justified, unless you or someone else is about to get run down. Pulling some dumb **** like shooting at someone shoplifting some goods from a home improvement store is the kind of stuff that gives us all a bad name.
I'll try and make a long story short. Bought a new M&P 9, got it home and the sear deactivation level fell out of the gun during my first field strip of the weapon. Took it back the next morning and they said they'd send it off to Smith & Wesson warranty and that they'd call me when they got it...
I'm fairly well educated on a number of different things related to this, and on top of that I've had personal experience with at least two of these awful animals. They should be more highly regulated than firearms in my opinion. A gun won't jump out of its holster and attack some harmless...
Yeah, if you have a shield, I'd highly recommend trying out the M&P 9. Its a fantastic feeling gun, and accurate. Indy trading post has a little rinky dink range(10 yd max range), but it works. And they have a decent selection of pistols for rent and its fairly cheap.
Whatever you do, don't waste your time going to Beech Grove Firearms. I went there to purchase my first firearm(M&P 9 FS) and it has been an absolute nightmare. Their knowledge on firearms and their customer service are downright terrible, and I was lied to by one of their employees who gave me...
Here is the thing. Behavior and temperament are genetic traits the same as hair color and length. The dogs have been bred specifically for their power, aggressiveness, and ruthlessness for God knows how long. A most other breeds will bite the **** out of you, but then leave you alone. A pit will...
:dunno: I know what it is called, but everyone on the S&W forums that I post on use the generic term since many of them aren't Hoosiers, those scrubs! lol Thanks for the welcomes! Go American or go home baby!
Hello everyone! First time gun owner, although I've shot them off and on my whole life. I'm a 40 yr old husband and father, and until the last year or two, I've never felt the need to own a gun for protection.(Grew up small town, where we hardly ever closed the windows and doors in the summer...
