A few years back my wife and I stumbled on to what she thought was a craft show in downtown Indy........until 4 men pranced up to us wearing just their underwear and glitter. I am sure that this lady would approve! My wife couldn't drag me away from there fast enough. I couldn't stop laughing.
I stopped by Blythes in Griffith yesterday. They had ammo! 9mm, 357, 45, 40, 223, 38 spec, and 22 in 50 rd boxes. The prices were higher than in the past and they limit to 4 boxes of 22 or 2 boxes of CF. I bought 2 boxes of 357 for $29 each.
I just bought a Ruger Lcr 357 and ordered a LaserMax for it. I am wondering if anyone has used a pocket holster with this combination? I don't think that the usual holsters will accommodate this set-up.

AMT is spoken for! I have 2 guns that I am interested in selling.
The first is an AMT .380 caliber Backup. Holds 5 in magazine and is small enough to fit in a wallet holster (included). I bought this gun new in 1987 and it has spent most of its life in the safe. I...
Stopped in today and was treated really well by the sales guy. I told him I wasn't buying , but wanted to look. He took out several guns for me to checkout and we had a nice discussion. Great experience!
Residential entry suspect wounded after shooting : Merrillville
Found this in today's NW IN Times paper. A shotgun was used to prevent an intruder from entering his home!
I stopped in at Cabelas in Hammond yesterday. Lots of ammo, but no 9mm or 22 caliber. I bought 2 boxes of 45s at $23 each. They had a whole shelf full of 223s and 762s. Plenty of 38, 40, 380, 25, and some 357. Their prices seemed reasonable, more than I paid in early December, but not...
Seems that moving to a more rural area will not stop criminals. The people that move there usually have more stuff worth stealing and it takes longer for authorities to respond.

Not sure if anyone else posted this, but I thought, here is an example of a gun owner defending herself. Good thing that she doesn't live in Chicago! Think of what could have happened!
stopped at the Hobart store yesterday. The sales guy suggested this would be a good time to switch to 17 cal guns. Lots of 17, no 22 or 223 or 357 or 45. There was some 40 caliber and 9mm.
I checked a local store near Rockford,IL today to see if things were better. Same story, different...
Stopped in today. They had 45 acp Herters on sale for $22. Not much else available. NO 22 rimfire! A bit of 17 rimfire. Really the shelves are bare. The magazine isle was empty except for a few short magazines. The gun cases looked thin.
I bought some Redfire Gamo pellets for the...
