There were three at Quick Cash Pawn in Lawrenceburg, IN. on Sat. Two 223's (one of them was a Colt) and One 308. They were all very nicely setup, but wowee the price has hit the ceiling. They were asking $1999 for the Colt but tried to tell me it was a good price since they were going for...
For chrome barrels I only use CLP for cleaning and lubing. I sometimes soak with Hoppes on a steel barrel to help remove major copper fouling, but typically CLP is all I use for all of my firearms. Great stuff!
My 1911A1 is my overall favorite firearm of all time. To me it just feels right in your hand, fits like a will used glove. That said, I've recently been checking out Glocks and other resin frame autos and small revolvers. The light and small frames would be so nice to CC. I may have one...
+1 on Acetone. It will remove most paints, lacquers, or other finishes. Wear some rubber gloves as Acetone can be absorbed through your skin. Due to it's odor and flammability, it isn't the best to do it in your living room. Use it in your garage or outside away from a ignition sorce.
What is the Glock 30s all about? How is different than the 30sf? My local gun store told me Glock had a new model in 45acp in production but didn't have any info. or timing. Any more news on the 30s?
If you are close to the border, Target World, north of Cin. OH. rents them, but I believe you have to buy the ammo from them, and rent a lane at their indoor range facility.
There are three used ones at Quick Cash Pawn in Lawrenceburg. (2) .223 (1 is a Colt), and (1) is .308. The .308 had a bull type barrel and looked heavy. I would think you would need a bipod to shoot it. All were very nice condition with some extras but the price tags are way up there.
In my old Bullseye shooting days, our club would have a once a year Revolver Championship following the Bullseye rules (22/45's). The S&W 625 was the preferred revolver. I tried shooting it with a 686, great gun, but I was at a disadvantage due to the 45acp cutting a bigger hole and breaking...
"327" my bad, it was a typo, I meant 357. Good to know that the 125gr loads are ok. I'm guessing like you do, most folks would shoot 38's for plinking/practice and 357's for defense.
I don't see the fatboy offered anymore. It's their high capacity model. I'm on the fence about the 3" model. They are not true 1911A1 as they don't have the normal barrel setup. I'm thinking more about the Glock 30SF, anyone know how it compares to the Glock 36?
Good point! If they don't have stock now, the big show will have sparse tables and the gezillion folks that show up will be irritable for sure! It's like that everywhere I go, Bass Pro while high priced, always had a good selection of hand guns, it was slim pickin' today. Heck, I can't even...
Do you shoot .38's or .357's out of your LCR? How is the recoil with .327's, I'm guessing not fun to shoot. It got to be one of the smallest carry guns along with the S&W 642 AirWeights.
Old Thread, but I ran across an ATI FX series 45ACP with a 3.2" barrel today. I was impressed with the fit quality. The slide was smoother and the trigger pull lighter than the used Springfield sitting next to it. It also came with a beavertail safety grip and the round hammer, priced under...
Go for it, reloading will be around. You may run into issues with supplies from time to time. Primers were hard to come by by in the 90's) and folks started hording, just like they are now with store bought ammo. That behavior only drives the prices up for everyone and feeds the frenzy.
That's very nice, but pricey too. What do you guys think of a ATI FX 45APC 3.2" http://www.americantactical.us/4560/detail.html. I saw one today and honestly the slide was smoother and the trigger was better than a used Springfield (more basic than the one you posted) they had sitting next...
I have shot my friends S&W 642 AirWeight, it was in .38 Spl./+P. It's very tiny and super light (alum frame/ss cyl/barrel). It's a bit to small for me, but his wife carries it and it fits her hand perfectly. She doesn't mind shooting it. You definately feel a decent amount of recoil but...
I definately think someone will end up in the ER, if they try to make those, it kind of reminds me of a Spud (Potato) Gun, I wonder if they will try to ban Spuds also, since it uses an flammable propellant vs. air or CO2?
Nice Pic! :yesway: I'd like to be able to find an ammo can full of .223 for sale....that I can afford. I recently purchased a bolt action in .223 for target/plinking thinking it would be a nice inexpensive round to shoot. When you do find it, prices have creeped up quite a bit. Maybe, I...
