I'm thinking some sort of box is best.... I'm looking to store everything from small SAK's to large tactical folders.
I've seen the rolls, or people use magazine cases to store knives, but that kind of assumes that all of your knives are roughly the same size.
My knife-carrying brother-in-law noticed an unfamiliar knife clip on my pocket and inquired as to what kind of knife I recently purchased. I showed it to him, and while passing by, my mother-in-law scolded me for being "dangerous" and made a joke that she already has a knife to carve the turkey...
How does everyone store their knives? Hobby boxes? Thrown in a shoebox? I've had mine in an empty cigar box for years and I'd like to find a better solution, allowing for quick selection and protection from scratches.
Has anyone ever concealed carry as a guest at someones home for a holiday, graduation, etc, and had the homeowner react negatively?
My mother-in-law noticed today that I carry a 3.5" knife and she reacted very negatively. I feel like I should tell her that I CC and have a handgun in her home...
I never used to wear safety glasses over my prescription glasses until some .45 brass hit and scratched my prescription glasses.....
If the safety factor doesn't scare you, maybe the idea of putting down $250 at the eye doctor for new lenses will.
Several months back when I was a COMPLETE handgun newbie, one of the guys at Pop's told me that I can carry a handgun in my car without a LTCH.
I haven't been back there since I learned that his advice could have put me in handcuffs....
Does anyone think that I can successfully and safely store fuel outside on my balcony? I live in an apartment and do not have a garage. Moisture is my primary concern. I would potentially store a couple 5gal plastic cans inside of another plastic tub or box.
Any opinions? Obviously if...
May dad lives in Cedar Lake as well. He makes the drive to Willow Slough because ITS FREE. I have not been there with him yet, but from what he says its very nice.
Anyone preparing for SHTF in an apartment?
My first choice is to pack up as much as possible in the SUV and get my wife and myself to my parents house. But, that includes a 3 hour drive on interstates and at least a half tank of gas, so I am a little nervous.
Please share any tips you have...
Can anyone comment on storing a handgun with the slide open (or a rifle with the bolt open, for that matter). I would guess it puts unnecessary stress on the spring, but has anyone noticed this causing premature failure?
I keep my rifle and handgun open with a cable lock through them in cases...
Does anyone know if there are metal detectors at Conseco for Pacers games?
I'd at least like to carry my favorite knife for the off chance that someone tries something funny in the streets after the game.
I'm familiar with that pdf, as well as the Knife Laws of the 50 States website. What I am saying is that I have not actually found a document that says that possessing a knife of a certain length is a misdemeanor or felony. The state/municipal documents define "dangerous weapons", and usually...
Please correct me if I am wrong on this.... For states that have blade length laws, I interpret them to only matter if you intend to commit a crime with the knife. Or, do the laws come into play if you carry it on your person concealed? Nowhere in any state or municipal laws have I actually...
I understand that an Indiana LTCH lets you open carry or conceal carry. Does that only come into play if the gun is loaded? If you do not have a LTCH, can you transport an unloaded handgun to and from the range?
I believe that I read on the forum that you DO NOT need any kind of permit to...
Sorry if this is the wrong place for this question (or if its been asked before), but can someone explain the terminology for tasers/stun guns? I know some get jabbed into the person and some shoot two little spikes.
Whats the legality of carrying either of these in Indiana??? Thanks guys!
