How does everyone store their knives? Hobby boxes? Thrown in a shoebox? I've had mine in an empty cigar box for years and I'd like to find a better solution, allowing for quick selection and protection from scratches.

I'm a bit of a knife snob/collector so I have a custom handmade case for my folders.

I just moved them all from a dresser drawer in the rec room to a drawer in a Kennedy tool box in my reloading room.

I store mine tip-down in a ham.

I used to collect pocket knives (more into guns now my retirement can only support one habit at a time). So what I have are in silicone impregnated rolls. I treat the metal with Boeshield T-9. Has been a good system for years.

I'm thinking some sort of box is best.... I'm looking to store everything from small SAK's to large tactical folders.

I've seen the rolls, or people use magazine cases to store knives, but that kind of assumes that all of your knives are roughly the same size.

Mine are scattered around, I'm with tyler, they're all users except great grandpas old pocket knife. But I keep a cigar box (with one-sided sticky felt in the bottom) on my night stand with my most used/rotated EDC knives.

I did the cigar box thing for about a year, finally picked up some nice boxes at Hobby Lobby to keep em organized and dust free.
