Never trust the media to get it right. Just because someone shoots doesn't mean they are robbing the place. Could be homicidal, suicidal, or given the circumstances...both.
Good for the employee. Sucks he has to go through that, but at least he's alive and still has a future.
Hanging a light on the end of a Glock also changes how it moves under recoil, and some will have FTF because of that. My 3rd gen Glock is much pickier with a light on but my forth gen never notices. I've never hung a light on any other pistol than Glocks, but that's been my experience.

Because you revert to your training. Unless you've had an offensive driving course it probably doesn't occur to you in the heat of battle. Legally and ethically there is no reason to, but you can safely assume that a stateside police department practices lethal handgun use and not lethal...
Not a lawyer, and definitely not an expert, but the Indiana Code says "not having a contractual interest in the property, "
Having a contractual interest with a business and having a contractual interest in the property are two different things.
I have a contract to pay Bank X my mortgage...
No. I find it more of a PITA than its worth. I do carry a small flashlight, though.
I just don't care for a weapon mounted light on a handgun. I find it cumbersome to operate and don't like how my grip feels while manipulating the light. I feel better back of hand to back of hand with...
My ex-wife remained very apathetic to shooting. That was a big step, though, considering she started with a very liberal anti-gun way of thinking. She at least went from "hate" to "neutral" after shooting.
She got her handgun permit at one point, but mostly to shut me up, and never carried...
I get the golf analogy, and that makes sense if you do a bunch of different things. The guy who takes big game hunting trips, shoots competitively, and carries for self defense probably needs more calibers than the guy who only does one of those things.
I could get by with .45 for handgun, 12g...
Ever look at your ammo stockpile and think "Screw it, I'm going to ditch everything that doesn't shoot XX?"
I've streamlined a bit, but I still have to stock .380, .40, .45, and .44 just for handguns. If I can wean my wife off her .380 and end to a .40 I'd at least be down to 3.
Then...
Let's all pass judgement based on the news article. After all, we all know that the media always gets the details right and never reports with an agenda.
Its tough to go wrong with #4 and up. It depends on if you want to be biased toward pellet weight or number of pellets, of course, but I think #2 is about the best of both worlds. Preferably 3" shells if your shotgun accepts them.
Federal Power Shok shells tend to get good reviews, but I can't...
I bought a 9mm back when they were still $80 new. My wife was still hesitant about guns and didn't like shooting a .45.
It never failed to feed, was reasonably accurate, was easy to break down and clean, and had decent sights. Actually, it came with standard sights and a ghost ring sight...
Other than the Glocks you mentioned, maybe Kahr P9. It only gives up .5" of barrel length and is half the weight compared to the 5906. Its right at his price point, and is a 9mm. CheaperThanDirt sells Pro-mags for $15.
You can search city ordinances online at municode.com. I found this, but I don't know what the "police special service district" means.
Sec. 451-2. - Firearms generally.
