Well I might have to ignore the things Ive heard about the Sportsman then! I contacted Stoeger today and to my surprise, they are sending me a drive spring free of charge. Also, if the new spring doesnt remedy the problem, they told me to send it in and they would cover it under warranty even...
I got it as a gift and it was used so I can't be too sure of total round count but I personally have run over 200 rounds through it with probably half of those being 3" goose loads.

^^^ THIS! Not terribly enjoyable when the only thing our 100lb German Shepherd can find to hide under is my body. Regardless of my wishes/current comfort level, she's coming in hot!
It is quite complicated and took years to develop. I doubt you would be able to fathom the awesomeness. On a side note I will be offering a class in the near future....for a nominal fee of course. :D
