I added full length guiderod, shok-buff, and 18 1/2 lb spring in addition the #19 hammer spring. I took it out with 230 HB and shot 100 rounds with no malfunctions of any sort. The problem amounted to the trigger pull being too light (due to my ignorant modification of cutting a coil off the...
I certainly achieved a lighter trigger pull with the reduced power hammer spring as the Wilson Combat description advertised it would. Ed Brown has a product that includes upgraded sear with shaving tool and complete guide to the perfect trigger job which I also have. I understand the importance...
What do you think?.. : I recently bought a Springfield Range Officer. I like it alot as it is, but as I am I can't leave well enough alone. So.. I shopped at Wilson Combat for some upgraded "drop-in" parts. Among them A reduced power hammer spring to above all things lighten the trigger pull...
Aluminum frames and parts are utilized to reduce weight, but as Kirk mentioned when considering the 1911 platform weight is a good thing (to an extent). Why exactly are you looking at the 1911 for ccw? Not to imply that folks don't utilize them for concealed carry (some won't leave home without...
My brother in law purchased one a month ago for around 300 bucks. He also relayed that it was designed by one of the kel-tec guys. He brought it over and I helped him clean it before shooting it for the first time. Cant remember much about the design/mechanics of it but I remember thinking it...
Great pick. Like the enthusiasm. Hope you get to enjoy it for a long time to come. Glock is holding some competitions at eagle creek this summer. maybe you'll enter with your new gun. :) Joshua
ps- I actually have shot an xd9 and I was enamored with the feel, motion, and mechanics of the trigger assembly right out of the box. I had to invest around a hundred bucks on the internals of my glock to get it to feel better. I like everything about my glock better though.
If you dont mind the travel you are more than welcome to meet at the Atterbury Shooting Complex near Columbus. The only thing is I have upgraded all the internal parts so it is not really representative of what a Glock 19 out of the box is going to shoot and feel like. Oh.. and its a Gen 3. I...
Anyone have experience with this model? It appears to be Taurus's clone of the CZ75. I'd like to look into the possibility of purchasing one if it performs even close to that of the CZ line.. Thank you, Joshua.
Ugh I just posted this really long note about some updates I am doing to it and it didnt show. :( got the RO at Vance Outdoors out of Columbus OH. Took it out yesterday for the 3rd time and I am LOVING THIS GUN more and more. I ordered a full length guiderod, weaker hammer spring, and a...
Magnum Research is now owned by Kahr Arms. They have released another design in the "eagle" family that has been named "Mr. Eagle". I cant quite remember the exact specs on it, but I do remember that it was intended to compete in the wondernine genre having many similar feature designs to the...
this range officer shoots consistently. I've taken it out twice now without a single malfunction. I have big hands so I have to get some grip extensions but otherwise great gun to shoot.
to answer the first question i payed 749.99 for it. as for the sights to be honest i am not absolutely thrilled with them. though i absolutely love the fact that i can adjust them, and yes i did have to adjust elevation upon first firing, the sights do not have dots for quick sight aquisition so...
