Since I prefer the grip angle of the 22/45 that was my choice. Mine is stainless and synthetic and is practically foolproff. Accuracy is excellent and it makes a good target/small game hunting gun.
Handled several pocket .380s. Went with the Ruger LCP. Plenty accurate enough out to 7 yards. Has a long trigger pull that and needs to be shot to get used to it.
Can't really buy from the Classifieds yet. Don't have the required number of posts but working on it. I would already have bought several items if contact could be made.
I pick the AR. I am most familar with the AR and know what its capabilities are. If I need a Chinese weapon one could be acquired. Now all that foot travel might be another story.
Mine was a Hawes Western Marshall .357 mag. Shot it until the brass frame cracked and gave it to someone to fix never saw it again. Probably just as well.
Mine is back in the middle of a section by a pond. Have a big shade tree, my own homemade bench and 25, 50, 75 and 100 yard backstops of bull dozed up dirt piles along the edge of my woods. The closest house is 500 yards away. Have a shooting house on another part of the property that allows...
I had my first gun when I was 7. My grandfather had me shooting a .22 when I was 4. My kids and grandkids all learned shooting at an early age. Guns were no mystery to them. They were taught to leave the gun standing in the corner by the door alone. I have to lock up my nicer guns now because of...
I am shooting a .358 BFG custom McGowen barreled Savage Weather Warrior. This is the wildcat based on the .25 WSSM parent cartridge to meet Indiana pistol cartridge regs. This rifle shoots 2 inches at 200 yards and I have only begun to do any load developement. It is stainless with black...
I had 5 handis 4 in .357 mag that were reamed to 357 maximum and 1 44 mag. All shot around 1.5 inches at 100 yards and functioned flawlessly. They are a little heavy for their size but balance pretty well. A good gun for the money.
I am considering rebarreling a short action Savage with a .458 Socom barrel. My question is can I simply replace the barrel or does the magazine need to be opened up to allow the rounds to feed. Are there any other modifications that need to be done to make this conversion work?
You might take a look at a scandi style knife such as Mora. The larger ones are pretty tough knives, easy to sharpen, and well within your budget. I also like the Buck 110 folder for a hunting knife have had one for 40 years. With the money you save buying these two you can pick up a Bear and...
