      Mad at guns

I've got a scout that I replaced the gas lock and flash hider with a Vortex, Gas Lock Front Sight (18" model with the taller deck), and national match front sight. I have bottomed out the elevation adjustments and she still shoots 6" high at 25yds. Called SEI, Ron Smith said he's never had...

      Mad at guns

Seems like every time I try to improve my guns, even simple upgrades, something goes wrong, the gun gets screwed up, or I'm just out a bunch of money. Ive had bad cerekote jobs, shotgun beads installed off center, scope mounts out of spec, and now I'm SOL with my Smith Enterprise parts for my...

      Steel case ammo

the chrome lining was to resist corrosion from the corrosive primers. The gas systems and parts are typically chrome lined as well.

      Conceal Carry .45 Handgun

I just picked up a Kahr CW45 to carry. Specs have it 2oz lighter than the XD-S and only .24" taller. Nice little package.

      AKM slanted muzzle brake

It is cockeyed to divert gas to keep the barrelf rom climbing up and to the right. Also keeps debris from getting kicked up from the ground

WTS: Model 70 base and rings

I have a set of matte finished Leupold standard bases and rings that came off of my Pre-64 Model 70. They were on the gun when I bought it and appear to have never had a scope mounted. I believe they are low, but have included pictures with my calipers and a measuring stick for reference...

      Got My Krink

Troy does outstanding work. I give the FTE issue to the ammo and not his work. I am more than impressed with the level of detail and workmanship that he put into it.

      Got My Krink

You won't be disappointed. Way more fun than I was expecting. Also, not near as loud as anticipated.

      Got My Krink

It is a sick piece of hardware. I am glad that ammo is relatively cheap for it.

      Got My Krink

Got my Krink back from InRange last week. Tula kit, NDS receiver, Bluejack V3 barrel. I took it out last Sunday and ran about 500rds though it. Three ammunition failures (one stuck round of Golden tiger and two bad primers in Tula hollow points) but nothing attibuted to the gun. It ran like a...

M1A standard or M1A Scout Squad

I went with the scout squad and love it. The muzzle blast was awful, so I swapped the brake out for a standard flash hider. If you go that route you have to use one that is neutered or you will have to take it off each time you need to remove the gas plug.

      Remington Chokes

I have a HS Strut Undertaker, non-ported, turkey choke rated for HD shot I could part with.

      Failed range trip stories

When I was 15 my dad, brother, and I went to the Sugar Ridge range intending to shoot .22's and our 20 gauges. Left the .22 ammo at home and the wind was blowing so hard you couldn't pattern the shotguns worth a darn. The time my slug barrel wasn't frmly snugged down was also rather...

      Failed range trip stories

I love to shoot in the rain. Keeps the yahoo's away from the range. Seems that if I do rifle work, I shoot better groups in the rain as well.

      Started paperwork on this today.

I am not real familiar with NFA classifications, butwhat keeps it from being considered a SBS?
