      Used it once last year when the processer that we took it to (which was a check station) was closed. Used it twice this year, once for my deer and once for my dad's deer. Confirmation number in less than 2 minutes from the field on my cell phone (when I got to an area with decent reception)...

      Shot a nice doe in the rain on Friday afternoon after Thanksgiving. Still need one more deer for the freezer. Been seeing a bunch of little bucks, 4s and 6s. Passed a decent 8 that I may wish I hadn't by season's end. Oh well.

      Yes, pushing a cannelured bullet back into the case will increase pressures. That's why you start a load low and work your way up. Factory ammunition is all under SAAMI max pressures but how much, I have no idea. Pushing the bullet back will increase it but you may still be in the safe range...

      Dount there will be anything on the table for next year. My guess is a revised version of this year's plan in 2017. I think they scared people when they basically went for "anything goes". I'm guessing loosing restrictions in a similar fashion to what we have now, but to allow .243/260/.308...

      I think we will end up slightly under last year's 120K but not drastically lower. Will depend on what kind of weather we get this weekend and for ML season.       How many deer do you see to consider it a good day?

      For us this year, less 3 or 4 is a slow day. 5-8 is a decent hunt and 10 plus is a really good day. I remember years ago when we would see dozens per sit. Partly due to food sources changing in our area and I'm sure partly due to declining deer herds too.

      Buddy of mine uses a 35 Rem with shortened cases and loves it. Easily a 200 yard gun with the right ammo and a decent shooter pulling the trigger. I thought about getting one but opted to just stick with the muzzleloader again this year.

      Still need to practice with a gun too. Make sure you know POI at various distances, etc. Being proficient with whatever weapon you choose is vital to success.
