+1 recommendation on P3AT. If you're looking for a small, reliable, lightweight, and affordable .380 you can't go wrong with it. Mine disappears in my pocket.
I've used Lee dies exclusively, including for my .357s. I've always been happy with their performance so I can't justify spending more for other brands. It may just be a case that I don't know what I'm missing.
I don't own a .38 and although I have shot a bunch through my .357s I've never...
I have the LnL AP and love it. FYI, if you buy by the end of 2011 you can get 500 free (+ S&H) bullets from Hornady [link]. See link for details. They've run this for at least 2 years though, so they may continue it in 2012.
I have and highly recommend the "ABCs of Reloading" book...
I have a nice Rock Island 1911 and may be able to work something out with you. Hogue grips and original wood grips. I think I have a couple hundred rounds factory ammo I can include, I haven't shot it in a while so I'll have to check. I know I have a box of high end defensive hollow points...
Thanks for all the responses, very informative. It looks like I'll be looking for a dry can, since I don't want to mess with the additional overhead and potential mess of adding water, gel, or grease and I don't care if it's a little larger. I just have to sock a few bucks away now.
I take a machete with me deer hunting. Thorn bushes grow up around the base of my favorite tree every spring and I need to cut them back to set up my stand.
Confirmed. A P3AT is my daily carry. With a pocket holster it just disappears. Seems to weigh almost nothing.
Although I only have about 600 rounds through it so far, it has yet to have any kind of failure to feed, fire, or eject. Should be broken in soon. I'm just starting to trust...
Unfortunately, I don't ever make it to the meetings. I don't get out to shoot nearly as often as I'd like, and with a newborn at home the meetings are just too far down the list of things I have to do. I just put my trust in Bill and the rest of the team.
NFA rookie but interested in starting with a suppressor.
What's the difference in wet vs dry? Quieter wet? How much? How frequently do you have to re-wet for, say, a .22 can over the course of a brick? Once per range trip? Every 50 rounds?
Can all suppressors run wet or do you need...
I may take you up on that. I'd only need two pounds of Goex 2F (link), which lists at $14.99. How much would I owe for shipping/handling/overhead/whatever on top of that?
Anyone know where I can get black powder (Goex, Elephant, etc) near Indy, preferably on the north side? Not Pyrodex or 777, which I already have.
Thanks.
