Two different men carrying AR15s openly. Two very different LEO reactions.

That could have been a pretty dangerous experiment. All it takes is one phone call to 911 from someone who says this guy is walking around in a threatening manner, and it could be all over.

      This guy can shoot!

Nice looking rifle in the hands of a highly talented hunter. He switches between targets so quickly.

      Best 9mm Home Defense Pistol

I went with the CZ because of the solid feel and the smooth trigger. Its a more traditional trigger as opposed to the XDM/glock. Although I did enjoy shooting the XDM. Another consideration is if you have a significant other that needs to be able to fire it, the CZ is a big gun for big hands.

      The Czickness.

I just wanted a good shooter to keep in the nightstand. Solid steel gun with full length slide rails. SA/DA with safety. Pretty much the only pistol to fit the bill. Never had a feeding or reliability problem with it. And it's a beautiful piece!

Which pistol do you hate the most.

hi point feels so strange in your hand. it has to be the most unbalanced pistol ever. I saw a guy shooting one at the range. he had a toolbox with him which he had to resort to after firing every few rounds. probably not a very practical self defense weapon.

      Carry compromise?

^^ second that. Plus it's about how quickly they go down, not about how many bullets you can put in them over the course of 15 seconds. Otherwise get that kel tec pistol that shoots 30 rounds of 22mag. But I don't know of anyone using it as a self defense gun. On the 1st shot 45 is most...

      Best 380???

I put down for Kelt tec too. It's not the most comfortable gun to shoot but it's the smallest and it's been around longer than the ruger, taurus, and other imitators. try shooting with +P though, ouch! I bought grip extenders for the magazines which help a lot though.

How many AK's do you own ?

WASR 7.62x39 black poly underfolder PSL-54C 7.62x54R Would love to have a SAIGA 12 in it's original form.

      Handgun under 1000 anyone?

If you are just talking about enjoyable shooting, there are even more guns under 1000 than just the quality brands that you would trust your life on. I enjoy shooting my $200 tokarev, it packs a decent punch and is utterly reliable, although it does not have all the desirable characteristics of...

      Barrel Mounted Shotgun

^^^correct about the serbu that remington looks pretty nice, but what you really need is a couple of these since you can only get a few shots from those AOW shotguns.

      What was your first Handgun?

cz 75b, and it shot better than I could
    12. R

so this is what a $3000 AR-15 looks like...

why would you need an AR that accurate? hunting squirrels I can think of better rifles to have. hunting people you need something that still has lethality up to its accurate range.

      Plastic handguns are stoopid...

Ya those never crack ;) Likewise there are probably issues with polymer guns that we don't even know about yet, like heat/sun sensitivity or durability. I don't see a fighting military adopting them as sidearms any time soon.

      Help me pick one...

hope you are happy with the xD. But there are plenty of good nines out there. and if you can manage to CC a hi point you could pretty much carry anything.

      Chinese junk...

If they are really $350 to 400 that kind of defeats the purpose of a cheap reliable nine. plus they are a little bulky and not too comfortable in the hand. I'm sure they are pretty reliable but the Tok itself was designed for the bottleneck cartridge so I would suspect some occasional FTFs in...

      Neighbor problem, need urgent help

if those jugs in your avatar are real then i don't see how standing by the window will get your neighbor to stop stalking you.

You're going on vacation, what do you bring with you?

when i am on a road trip i take a HG of choice and a spare mag, locking it up as necessary. however i do not take a pistol when i fly since i have heard horror stories about checked bagage issues and layovers. does anyone have experience with flying and taking pistolas?

Did I get a deal today!!!!!!!

Being as my gun rag says a new XDM 45 has an MSRP of 700+ I would say you got a good deal! When this shipment runs out you can get more than your money's worth.

      Springfield 1911 US GI

I have been wanting to buy a mil-spec SA 1911. I understand it is good witih FMJ but how does it handle varioys JHP, and how sharp are the sights.

      Recommendations for a compact 9mm.

a cz rami sounds like it would fit the bill of hammer, DA/SA giving you the cocked& locked or hammer down long trigger pull. Or just go for the keltec, no need for a holster and it is tiny, reliable, and cheap.
