Stopped by to see the new place. It looks great! I was barely able to hear anyone in the place. A Glock 19 kept screaming my name....:D Ya know I'll be back when when the eagle flies.
Frank-n-Stien. I'd send you a PM thanking you but the system says I don't have enough posts to do so. Got the gun back from JM great service and an all around nice guy. I would recommend him to anyone needing work. :yesway:
One other thought to muddy the water some, there is suppose to be a XD-S version in 9MM coming out soon. I haven't seen an actual release date. If there isn't a rush you might want to see what that option looks like.
It's a Ford and Chevy thing. You're going to get as many different opinions as there are folks that own them. They are both good guns and either will do the job. Hold both, if possible shoot both and go with what works for you.
Are you able to determine caliber of the gun? Might help narrowing it down. When I was in Vietnam we ran across a lot of ChiCom knock offs of various weapons. Often with a star on the grip but this grip looks custom inlay or home made. I do not remember ever seeing anything like this.
I have a Colt Huntsman 22 that's been in the family for over 50 years. It needs some work by a gunsmith. Can anyone make a recommendation ? I don't want to just flip open the yellow pages on this. THANKS
Kahr
I'm a +1 on the Kahr PM/CM 9. I had Smith Bodyguard 380. Could never get use to that trigger and even though there are stats that say different, I felt a 9mm was a better choice. (Certainly cheaper ammo to use).
Yes, I guess I didn't expect them to get the facts correct. I was just trying to get educated on wadding in handgun ammo. I had only heard of it in blanks and was pretty sure they would have said if he was shooting blanks. The STAR gets smaller and smaller with less news every day. AND the news...
no, that's not exactly the article. It appears on page B2 of today's STAR. Title "Judge acknowledges veteran's struggles" In the fourth paragraph they report: A bystander was struck in the chest by gun wadding from one of the rounds Braman fired. The force knocked the man to the ground...
Maybe this was discussed before, if so sorry to be late to the dance. In today's STAR a report of the veteran in Lafayette who fired a couple of rounds outside a bar. He was charged with carrying without license. The article clearly states he had a handgun. One person at the scene was knocked...
Thanks, some of the old threads pop to the top when people post new comments. Since I haven't been here long, I try to read the whole thread. Sorta frustrating when you read all the comments about great photos but can't see the photos.....
an example
here is an example thread where everyone is raving on the OP's photos. I don't see any photos.

I looked thru the FAQ and did a search. I find lots of stuff about posting photos but nothing on viewing. I've read several posts where people comment on the photos but I don't see them. do I have an option turned off or on that I need to tweak? I see some photos but not others. :dunno:
