So I am very new to quality knives and I know absolutely nothing about steel qualities, or what is the best this or that, or what blade style is good for (insert purpose) and so on. I have ordered a benchmade saddle mountain skinner for deer season this year. My only purpose for this knife is to...
Next week I will be heading to Florida for vacation. I am going to drive and I will be going through Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Georgia. Has anyone heard if any of these places are more abundant than Indiana?
I am canning some boneless chicken breast this afternoon. Just got a new seal for my lid so I think I'm good to go. The last time I canned was a couple months ago when I canned 5 lbs of chicken breast. It's great to make easy meals out of especially when we have made up some noodles to go with it.
Over the last year and a half I've acquired a short list of guns and for 2014 I have just 1 left. Then I'd like to start adding a couple accessories to what I have. Also I'd like to fill up the ammo cans that I have.
I gave my father-in-law the duck commander daisy pellet gun. Usually when I buy him something he says I should have spent the money on the kids but this year I didn't hear anything but thanks. He must have really liked it.
I went here for the first time last weekend and had a great time. The staff is extremely friendly and anyone I saw was more than willing to answer questions or take the time to talk. I will definitely be going back in the near future. Also everything is done on an honor system. They said just...
Rural King in Muncie has just about every caliber in stock. They had tons of 50 round boxes of 22lr($8 box) and 22 short($5 box). The only other thing I had them price was 9mm white box 100 round value packs which were $31. Prices weren't the best but plenty available.
I believe their transport laws are similar to ours. So you should be able to unload your gun and put it in a case and keep your ammo separate. Beware of city ordinances though like Cincinnati where no handguns are allowed period.
If I'm wrong someone please correct me because I have been...
I believe it needs to get up around the 60's for them to start growing. With any luck it will warm up after this snow coming in today and maybe we could be looking at mid April.
Jackson I am in northern Madison county.
Sloughfoot I was using 115 grain jacketed rounds. I read my manual cover to cover and it did not say anything about being set up for any particular bullet weight. The only thing it said was that the gun comes sighted for 25 yds. My thinking is that I...
I ran across a real nice 2002 3/4 ton suburban with the 8.1. I know this is a towing vehicle but does anyone have any experience with these not towing a trailer? My primary use would be the family vehicle and would be driven mostly within 20 miles each way. Any input on these would be much...
So far it looks like the 10/22 and 15-22 are the favorites of everyone. I am going to add that I am not a big fan of modifications. It seems that everytime I save up for a mod I end up finding a need for another gun. Also I'm just shooting cans, paper, and a spinner target.
I definitely won't rule out that it could be my fundamentals. I did have my brother at the range with me and he also shot low with it, but he is a relatively new shooter as well. I think I will take the advice to get formal training for sure. Does anyone have a preference on where to go for...
Well from what you guys are saying it sounds like I don't have enough money to worry about buying too many guns in a short time. Thanks for all your input everyone.
