      Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol

I've had my eye on these since they dropped. Highly likely it will be my next purchase.

      Budget friendly optics

Never tried the arken or even handled one for that matter. My experience with muller is limited to 22lr only (APV/APT). In the few I had I definitely wouldn't consider them for one of my big bores. That being said, I wouldn't hesitate to put another on a 22, I think both were sub $200 at the...

      Remington 700 Bottom metal question

Good to go. It's pretty much the standard anymore. Short of a surgeon dbm but those range $325-375

      Shooting Range Issues

I prefer shooting at private ranges. I'm pretty particular when it comes to who I'm around with loaded weapons. I've seen somethings at public ranges that make me nervous.

      Budget friendly optics

When I think budget pertaining to optics its sub $250 for red dots and $500 for magnified scopes. Holosun, Vortex, Steiner, Ahtlon, Burris, Mueller and Leupold all have solid offerings in those ranges. I prefer to scour the classifieds on various online communities and gun.deals and get lucky on...

      22LR Target rifles

I prefer shooting 22's at 100 yards probably more than anything else. Mainly because of the cost savings :) I started on a savage MK2 but quickly snagged a CZ 457 varmint instead. The CZ's hold their own in with accurate smallbores, especially given the price point.

Bear creek or PSA or ????

PSA has come a long way over the years. I was actually a recipient of an improperly assembled upper when they first hit the scene. My midlength upper came with a carbine gas tube installed. I reached out to PSA and asked them to just send me the correct gas tube and I would install it. They...

So.. what are you reloading at the moment??

All I reload at the moment is .308. I'm set up for 9mm and .223 but right now the juice isn't worth the squeeze with the volume of those I shoot. I continue to save the brass and grab primers, bullets and powder for the future when things change.

Bear creek or PSA or ????

The PSA's are good to go. It's no DD or BCM but at the price point they're hard to beat. If you build your own you can source a decent barrel and furniture and it will shoot just as well as a 1500$ rifle at half the cost.

      Glock 17L

Alot of folks actually consider the Gen3's superior. Unless you like the modularity of the 4's and 5's Gen 3 is still an outstanding weapon.

      optics for sig 226

You can't go wrong with Holosuns. Just sucks they're Chianese. I've got a couple Trijicon RMR's and then I got a Holosun 507k x2. I prefer the Holosun.

      RED DOT SIGHTS

Never tried the vortex but I've got a 507k X2 on my 43 and an 2 Trijicon RMR's on a 19 and a 17. I honestly prefer the holosun. Had I tried them sooner I wouldn't have got the RMRs.

      MUELLER SCOPES

Never tried them on my big bores but I've had mueller APV's and APT's on some 22's. Good glass for the $$ in that regard.

      Southbend/Michiana area Gunsmiths

I'm looking for a gun smith in the southbend/mishawaka area to Cut and Crown a couple barrels off my bolt guns. I've found Belcher's gunsmithing in southbend which seems promising. They're my "precision" rifles so I'm a little apprehensive about having them crowned locally. Although, the...
