    I saw it live. Yes he turned, but he was standing still and in the same position long enough to complete a couple sentences when the first shots rang out. In my mind, it’s a miracle it was not a fatal shot.

    he didn’t turn his torso and from a tactical standpoint, that’s where the shooter made his mistake. You shoot center mass. This yahoo took his shot at the head of someone who has moving his head while giving a speech and he would have been successful if he had known anything at all about shooting and that’s where the former president got very lucky.

    Yes I think he turned and as he turned I think it changed the angle enough that it hit his ear. If he was still looking forward it might have hit the back of his head. Miracle? Time and Chance?

    It's freaking ridiculous that he missed what seems to be at least 3 shots and clipped the ear. You know how narrow the aspect of an EAR is without overpenetrating into the cranium? On the average person that's a 1/2" sliver.

    I'm waiting for detail on the weapon, because from everything I've seen so far this distance is child's play unless the FBI agent didn't bother to zero the Eotech on that DDM4 before giving it to the shooter. I'm a mediocre shooter and I can make a 150 yard center mass cold bore hit on any one of my ARs including the cheap pieces of crap in my sleep. Double so if I get a couple of seconds to drag my backpack around to shoot off as a rest. I'm glad Trump is alive but I'm kind of embarrassed for this clown, did he not zero? At all? Five bucks says he winged every round off to the left, from his perspective, and sadly splattered some poor guy in the audience because he's a jackass who didn't care about using live people as his backstop for his crummy shooting.

    Oswald could have made that shot after six beers and a bottle of cough syrup.

    My point is that Trump was standing still in the “turned” position for several moments before the shot. It’s not like he turned when the shot was taken. There was plenty of time for the shooter to adjust and take a precise shot.

    This post is rather odd. You say that you are glad that Trump is okay but then you say that you are embarrassed that the would be attempted assassin wasn't a better shot. Huh?

    Just a reminder be skeptical of everything until something official comes out. Then be skeptical of that.

    That said this is supposed to be the shooter.
