Nice work Guy. It just goes to show that murder is not solely predicated by the tool that is used to commit the evil act. Murder is just plan murder and statistically speaking you would be more apt to be killed by means other than an "assault rifle"

Beautiful application of logic, Guy! This should be spread as far and wide as possible. It would be nice to see it picked up and publicized on the evening news--local, even nationwide. Nice, but not likely...
Still, very well written--short, sweet, and most definitely to the point. :yesway:

As a 2A "purist", the weapons these politicians on the left seek to ban and the very weapons the people would need to put them in the dirt if they turned tyrannical. The people SHOULD be allowed the exact weapons used by the .gov controlled military. How else would the people be able to remove those tyrants from power? This IS EXACTLY the intent of the 2A. I would suggest reading the NRA Rifleman article this month on how the Nazi used a registration data base to round up, inprison and kill Jews. We can't ever ever let something like this to happen here in the US. Even if that isn't the left's end game, the public should be educated on how similar the leftist gun grabbers are to the murderous Nazi regime.

    Excellent work sir!!!

It is a shame that people don't understand that the intent of the second amendment was not to allow people to have weapons that just looked like military weapons but to guarantee their right to have the same actual weapons as the military.

I forget who it was, but someone was at the table, or an adjacent table where DiFi was going through a gun catalog circling weapons she wanted to ban back about 1993. I forget if it was at a country club or the congressional lunch room (not much diff, really) The witness looked over and saw the page she had open. It had shotguns on the page. She had circled the marine model with black synthetic furniture, but ignored the FUNCTIONALLY IDENTICAL version with wood furniture.

That just shows her complete and utter ignorance, of course the Marine model looks "scary".

I was waiting on the FBI statistics. I always bring this up when someone thinks that no one should own an "assault rifle" and their rebuttal is that they're designed to kill lots of people so no one needs to have them...yet the statistics prove that more people are dying from strangulation or a billy club than an "assault rifle."

You really can't talk sense with people who don't understand statistics and react based on what they see on the news.

A bunch of kids get killed at Sandy Hook...like shooting fish in a barrel. Any gun could have done that...they're freaking elementary students....The people arguing that the reason all those kids died is because an "assault rifle" was used just don't use their own COMMON SENSE...

I think that it was intended by the founders that it be every American's responsibility to own and know how to operate military grade weapons. Like the original Swiss model that they copied from...
I also think that damaging ideological ideas that have been proven ineffective or in opposition to Life, Liberty, and the Pusuit of Happiness; like insane liberalism and socialism/communism -should have been criminalized. Don't get me wrong, I believe in the 1st amendment too, but I guess what I'm trying to say is that along with freedom comes responsibility. One thing I've noticed with alot of the 1st amendment crowd is that they all want their right to say or project- via art or music whatever they want, but they largely reject whatever consequences that might bring. Gangster rap anyone? How has gangster rap which glorifies criminal behaviour ever been a positive or productive element to a functional society? Bottom line is everyone wants their rights, but how many actually want the responsibility that comes with those rights?
