It wasn't voluntary, but I had to disarm before going into the courthouse. Here are some of my goodies laid out in the trunk before going into the car vault:

Unarmed as in "not on my person", that would be sleeping and going to the bathroom this morning.

Unarmed as in "not within a few feet of me" nowhere.

About the only places I go unarmed is anywhere I have to pass through a metal detector. This is also assuming we are considering "armed" as having a gun.

me too. Mine usually stays on unless I'm sleeping, showering, or if I choose to intoxicate myself to irresponsible levels on the weekend.

Oh...it also comes off when I'm changing my carry guns.
