I have to go with Outlaw Josey Wales as well. But, earlier on for me it was Big Jake! The different sons made it funny without being stupid. Loved both movies. As a kid, big Jake was my favorite.

Great line from a front runner on the list:

"You can call me Father, you can call me Jacob, you can call me Jake. You can call me a dirty son-of-a-*****, but if you EVER call me Daddy again, I'll finish this fight. "

I can't watch Blazing Saddles without seeing something I hadn't seen before that disables me with laughter. Mel Brooks movies are a hoot!

Open Range, Josey whales or Butch Cassedy and The Sundance Kid... There's so many!
Idk if you'd count it but Jeramiah Johnson is probably the best Redford movie ever made!

I really like all the westerns that everyone has listed. I also like "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" and "The Wild Bunch". "Comanche Moon" was pretty cool, especially after having read the book. It is hard not to like any western with John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart, Robert Duvall or Lee Marvin.

I heavily second Once Upon a Time in the West. Such a great film. My favorite part:

(Walking down the stairs at gun point)
...You know, Judas would have done this for 970 dollars less...
...They didn't have dollars in dem days. get movin'... (gun jab in back)

    Classic :D

    "Jeremiah Johnson"

...and some say he's up there still.

.This and The Mountain Men, two of my all time favorite movies

I'll have to jump on the Unforgiven bandwagon too, and throw in Crossfire Trail.

Nobody's mentioned the one with the best closing line ever: Quigley Down Under

"I said I never had much use for one. Never said I didn't know how to use it."

Great movie, been wanting a Sharps ever since I saw it for the first time.

Anything with John Wayne, True Grit & The Shootist probably on the top of my list

More recent ones Pale Rider, Unforgiven, 3 10 To Yuma, Last of the Dogmen. Open Range has to be one of the best in recent years.
