    3 'Must Have' Handguns

    1. Ruger SP101 4" in .22lr...you can train with it as well as hunt small game.

    2. Ruger GP100 4" (or 6") in .357mag...you can hunt medium-sized game with it as well as home/personal defense.

    3. (I'm torn between 4 different guns for this last one)...but I'm going to say a .40 S&W caliber semi-auto pistol...in Glock, Sig Sauer, Ruger SR40, Smith & Wesson M&P, or Springfield XD. (My personal choice would probably be the Glock 23 pistol if not the Ruger SR40.)

Thats not an easy choice. I am torn between power, concealment, and ammo availability.

    1. S&W M&P 45 Full Size. Plenty of firepower with 14 round mags available, plenty concealable with 10 round mags. Accurate, reliable.

    2. 5" Springfield TRP Operator with rail in .460 Rowland. Feels so good in the hand, and with the potential for 11 rounds on tap with .44 magnum level of power. Oooh Yeaaah! Git Sum.

    3. Kel-Tec P3AT. I love this little .380 pistol. It just works. I have hit a 12"x12" at 50yd 3 out of 5 with it (don't believe me? Ask Neo). I call it my noisy cricket.

Of these three, I have 1 and 3. I am working towards #2, either an actual TRP Operator, or a custom built 1911 that has all the same features. I love that 20 LPI checkering.
