Silly, no! Functional as all get out! :) Awesome idea and looks like great workmanship! :)
Decent workmanship... I haven't built anything with wood in years upon years...

That said - I had to cut the corners of the frame you see leaning against the freezer as there was a piece of angled wood on the inside of the couch legs that I didn't see when I measured :). Faster to trim some off the corners and nobody will see it anyways!

Thought about staining them but I think we're going to paint them a flat black so that they virtually disappear :).

Nice work.I love it when a person comes up with their own solution to a problem they face, and then does the work themselves.

Great solution to the dog toy problem.I may steal your solution as any one of our 3 dogs tend to do this on occasion.I like the flat black idea as well.

Wasn't hard to do but next time around I think I'll forego the L-brackets on the inside and just drill pilot holes, countersinks, and then put the screws in directly from the outside since nobody will see it anyways :).

Good Idea. I had no dogs or kids for years, but there was still dust buildup. Now with the grandkids we are back looking for things under the furniture.

I have conventional mattresses on the base that used to be a water bed. That system is supported by a board around the whole lower edge of the bed. It was supposed to be temporary when I did that 20 years ago. No dust build up, no lost shoes, etc.

    Great idea.

I have a similar saw and I just figured out last time I used it that you can hook up a shop vac to the saw where the little collection bag attaches and run it while you are cutting. Keeps most of the sawdust off your work and everything else.

Good idea on the work, but your title makes you sound like a girl :stickpoke:

Interesting... Used the shop-vac after I was done to clean it all up... Looks like I may need a different hose though?
