Now that is fighting language! I have had to go through more FBI background checks, more proof of identity and more proof of citizenship TO DRIVE A DAMNED TRUCK than that stupid son of a ***** has undergone to be the President of the United States.

How do you know exactly what he had to go through to prove his identity, proof of citizenship, and any background check?

Truth is you don't, its a cute conspiracy theory and all but how about Republicans focus on real issues that impact the people for once. There are plenty of good way to attack the actual job he has done, why bother with trying to go at him on a technicality.

I don't know try his foreign policy, stance on immigration, his healthcare plan, his out of control spending, etc. I mean that may actually be important stuff.

He hasn't coughed up a real birth certificate yet. Sheriff Joe's people are right. In fact, when the supposed BC was initially posted, I took it apart myself by simply copying onto a blank Word document. They fixed it well enough after the word got out that it took someone who actually knows what they are doing to deconstruct the document.

Since you have apparently been out of communication with the world for the last few years, not only has there been a conspicuous lack of evidence, but for the rest of us, we are proactively required to present such, not afforded the opportunity to stonewall.

You have a point about his sorry, sorry performance being a more immediate problem, but that does not change the fact that establishing eligibility up front should be mandatory as it is FOR EVERY OTHER AMERICAN WHO WISHES TO DO ANYTHING INCLUDING DRIVE THE CAR TO THE GROCERY STORE.

If you find it acceptable to have two entirely different sets of standards, one for the 'ruling class' and one for everyone else, I would like to recommend some nice real estate in the serene and peaceful Democratic Peoples Republic of North Korea. History is never static, and if we allow this trend to continue, we will eventually end up at the final destination where the path leads.

Why pick just one avenue of attack ? Why not use all the ammo he gives ?

    Important stuff ?

    Yeah , you're right a person's true identity isn't really important at all .

I mean , it's not like the guy's in charge of the country or anything like that .

It's not like the majority of voters voted for him because they agreed with him or anything like that.

Doesn't matter where the hell he was born. Take Obama out for being an illegal and they'll vote for the next American born socialist that comes along and we'll get the same shaft in the end.

It wasn't that long ago that some republicans loved the idea of Schwarzenagor being president.

Since you have been out of communication, like forever. That has always been and always will be the case.

It has indeed always been the case to some extent. If you accept it, especially in the flagrant form it has now taken, you, sir, are part of the problem.

Really??? I am a pretty die hard Republican and I don't remember that. I am not doubting or saying it didn't happen somewhere but he wasn't even cracking the top ten lists of the folks I know.

I remember there being talk of some wanting the law to change to make him eligible. I don't think anyone actually proposed legislation though.

This "you didn't build that" line seems to be an angle that the DNC thought they could exploit to gin up class warfare for the election. Elizabeth Warren has made a very similar statement and seems I've heard other pols express this thought too.

I hope they keep it up. It'll surely appeal to the OWS and labor.

Yeah. I didn't build the roads and bridges. They were built by civil engineers who run engineering firms and construction companies. You know, private enterprise. The guys who "didn't build that."

The government only paid for it, with OUR money. So exactly what, again, did the GOVERNMENT build?

"Personal property is the effect of society; and it is as impossible for an individual to acquire personal property without the aid of society, as it is for him to make land originally. Separate an individual from society, and give him an island or a continent to possess, and he cannot acquire personal property. He cannot be rich. So inseparably are the means connected with the end, in all cases, that where the former do not exist the latter cannot be obtained. All accumulation, therefore, of personal property, beyond what a man's own hands produce, is derived to him by living in society; and he owes on every principle of justice, of gratitude, and of civilization, a part of that accumulation back again to society from whence the whole came."

Thomas Paine - You didn't build that.

"All the Property that is necessary to a man, for the conservation of the individual and the propagation of the species, is his natural right, which none can justly deprive him of: But all property superfluous to such purposes is the property of the publick, who, by their laws, have created it, and who may therefore by other laws dispose of it, whenever the welfare of the publick shall demand such disposition. He that does not like civil society on these terms, let him retire and live among savages."

Yes, and the Constitution deals very specifically with how and to what extent we should 'give back' and what the federal government may do with the resources it calls upon us to 'give back'. It isn't a freaking blank check, Mr. Leftist.

That's one interpretation, and one fueled by emotion and preconceived notions of what people want to believe.

There's another interpretation, one that takes logic and reason into account to understand that very few people do very few things alone. Anyone who believes that he achieves anything with precisely zero help from anyone else is an arrogant fool.

It's a very simple puzzle. People who have the drive and ambition to succeed aren't going anywhere without resources. Resources by themselves aren't doing anything without someone with initiative. For success to happen, everything must work together in just the right way. That's why not every business succeeds.

Typically, when someone says "the point is...", what usually follows those words is THE POINT.

I don't like Obama for many reasons, but there are far more valid things to focus on than this. Harping on this is just pedantic.

With apologies to fellow Hoosier, James Whitcomb Riley....

"If it looks like a socialist, swims like a socialist, and quacks like a socialist, then it probably is a socialist."

All those "resources" were paid for by people and businesses who contribute at the barrel of a gun. The gov't doesn't create jobs or businesses. How did the roads, schools and teachers come to be before there was a government that taxed to build the roads, erect the schools and pay the teachers?

The point is, that's my logic and reason at it's most basic level.

And BTW, you never addressed my assertion that you were incorrect in your statement about the next line.
