I have scoured the Internet for as much info as possible but I figured I would still get the valued opinion of my fellow INGOers. What do you think of YHM uppers? I'm looking at this one in particular:

    Black Diamond Carbine Top End

I already think highly of BCM and Spikes, so I'm unsure of venturing into the unknown (to me).

    Thoughts? First hand experience?

a little more detail: it's a trade opportunity where the other person has a factory spikes lower with that upper. If I was going "out of pocket", it would be BCM or Spikes all day long.

+1 here on the BCM, myself I would just stick with them, I myself have seen YHM rifles have issues at my local range. where the PSA & BCM rifles keep on running. The YHM I have seen had several FTF, FTE, stove pipes etc.
Also I have seen the PSA premium line of upper do the same, stand toe to toe with the BCM rifles.

    YHM is great.
    BCM is great.

2 great options. Look at price and accessories to sway it one way or the other.

*Edit to add - I haven't handled YHM gear in a little over 2 years. But the guns I handled, and their reputation were excellent (I hope they still are)

I have that Black Diamond tube. It is extremely sturdy but it's fat and very heavy. I'm not sure about the upper receiver or barrel, but I would not buy that handguard again.
