How's this thing been for ammo picky-ness and FTF's? I know the mosquito has a lot of trouble, but I was thinking of picking up a buckmaster or ruger MKII as pistol to introduce people to semi auto's but this might work just as well.

It will occasionally not fully cycle, mostly when it gets too dirty.
Haven't really had any issues using Federal ammo. Keep it oiled and feeds good.
