Record setting murder rate in Indy and the police have a big push for seatbelt enforcement this weekend. Don't ask me how I know about the seatbelt enforcement!

That's a federal traffic safety grant. Those guys are on federally funded overtime, if they weren't doing that they'd be off duty. Yes, I wish we could get federal overtime for other enforcement issues, but wishing in one hand and pooing results in only one full hand, so you have to use the money for what its earmarked for.

On pace to beat out the south side of chi town.

I grew up in between the former and current murder capitol. Gary and ****cago.

    Would never visit either again.

Keystone would be my choice but I don't worry to much when in my car on either of those roads at that time...

Depends on where on the northside you are going, but whenever I have to go from downtown to the north, I take 65 up to 465. If you are going to the Geist or Castleton area, take 70 out to 465 on the east side. Then north to either 69, Allisonville, or Keystone.

Thanks.. My son was home from collage this weekend and we decided to stay in the Keystone crossing area. Thanks for the info.

Does the same federal overtime money pay for the officers to show up in court? Just curious.

Judges need to start doing their job and keep these people locked up. When most of these murders involve people that have already served time I would say give them all max sentences, no more plea bargains, or parole.
