Leave it in the car. No checkpoint to get to the museum parking lot. You don't have to enter the active base to get to the main museum building.

I would highly recommend going to the the Presidential and X-Planes (XB-70 is there) exhibit. For that, you catch a shuttle from the main museum building over to the active base, where these exhibits are housed.

Hey you have to go right past my place to get there so you could drop it off and I could sight it in for you while your at the museum.

The surviving members of Doolittle's Raid are having their reunion there again this spring (April). Last I checked, there were still plenty of seats available for the dinner and/or luncheon but last year they sold out fast. Might want to schedule a trip there around that time frame. Could possibly be the last reunion and last chance to meet these great heroes.

Those guys had stainless steel nuts.
