Springfield 1911, could not hit the broadside of a barn with it. At 5 yard could not even hit paper. Turned me off on 1911's.

If you would like to try again with a Springer 1911 Id be happy to help you change your mind. I live in the Martinsville area too.

chrome Jennings my first wife bought.
I shot it at a paper plate at 15 yards...never hit the plate.
moved to 10 yards, then 5. I was at 6 feet before i could hit the plate. What a piece of junk!

I had an Taurus back in the early 90s that was a total POS. Inaccurate, FTE, FTF, you name it. I understand they are better now, but I've never gone swimmin' in that pool again.

Thanks but I'll pass, I'll stick to my Glock 30, Holds more rounds will eat anything and weighs less and I can hit a target dead on at 25 yards. However, if I ever change my mind I know where to find you at the shop.

Fair enough, I have Glocks too so I dont typically play the 1911 vs Glock game.

Look me up if you feel like shooting! :yesway:

I also had a Raven .25. Emptied the mag on a rusty 55 gallon drum from 10 feet away. Not one hole, all dents. Owned it for two whole weeks.

I have one of those too, never shot it though. Was my wife's gpa's gun. Sorta sentimental thing to her I think. Oiled it up when I got it, and put it in the safe.
