I know this sounds silly coming from a gun owner, but I would be scared that I'd accidentally leave it out (it's a harmless flashlight, right?) and my kid would end up burning the house down with it.

He doesn't do it much anymore, but when he was really little he had a habit of turning flashlights on and putting them face down on a table.

the question is how long would it take the average person before they burned out their eyeballs seeing how bright it is?

Definitely not the world's brightest, go to candlepower fourm if you want to see some of the brightest.

    Still pretty cool though.

2x....some guys on candle power forums are running there's for short duration of a couple sec at 18k lumins.

Talk about messing someone up! Surefire often talks of temporary disorientation.... I think this company may have them beat with burnt retinas!

5-10minute runtime according to their website. Suspect half that IRL.

I like flashlights, I have a lot, I've lost a lot more than I have, but this is pointless. I spose if I had $200 to blow on a toy I can show off to buddies one time, ok. But other than that, what would you do with it?

Just wait 6 months... the price of flashlights is really plummeting. Once Maglite fully switches over to LED, the cost will drop like a rock.

Wicked Lasers has some fun stuff for sale. Just check out their blue and green lasers. You can light things on fire from across the room. Their stuff isn't for practicality, it's for science experiments.
