Guns are safe. Start carrying your gun with a round in the chamber. you will never feel "comfortable" doing it. You must build trust in the gun. That its safe. That is works the way it is designed to. If you don't carry one in the chamber, you are adding time to your draw by requiring yourself to chamber a round, also you take a chance that you might not be able to do it if your off hand is not free. What if someone is already "on" you attacking you. Your left arm is tied up, you draw with right. Now you got a $500 club in your right hand with bullets in a magazine. Useless. Chamber and carry. Always use a holster. If your gun has a safety, use it and train to disengage it on your draw.

I support CC, but will admit that OC is more natural. Regarding a chambered round, "an unloaded gun is an expensive club." Properly carried, a modern firearm is safe with a chambered round.

Well just recently i decided to carry IWB and i thought "what the heck" and i racked it and put in the holster. Felt fine with it and went on my way. Not as big of a deal as i expected
