Why are so many people scared of "cocked and locked"?

Unfortunately, it is probably a little of both. The biggest problem imo is that a lot of people are sheep and have **** for brains.

Well....yes. Of course this is the real reason so many are scared to carry in condition 1 but I was being nice.

I would have to think it boils down to your comfort level. I'm new to carrying and I'm not 100% comfortable doing that yet. I'm not against anyone else doing it but for me I need more time with my firearm to feel comfortable.

Maybe they're scared because of what it sounds like? No guy wants to put "cock" and "lock" in the same phrase. Well, maybe not no one, but most guys...

The whole point of carrying a concealed weapon is to be ready if a bad guy wants to hurt or kill you. Are you supposed to ask the bad guy to give you time to load your gun. "Time out bad guy I'm not ready". Ridiculous.

only way to carry a 1911 is cocked and locked, for me anyway!
