    It would be crazy to pick a VP running mate from Florida. Constitution prevents Electoral College Electors from voting for a POTUS and VP from the same state as they're from. At least one of the two must be from a different state. They would lose all the Florida electors for POTUS or VP. That is why the POTUS and VP are from different states. Trump moved his residence to Florida. The state has a large number of electors.

    Article II, Section 1, 3rd Clause (1st sentence; emphasis mine):
    "The Electors shall meet in their respective States, and vote by Ballot for two Persons, of whom one at least shall not be an Inhabitant of the same State with themselves." . . .​
