I wondered about the Richard thing, but then I thought, what if the guy's name is Richard? Is it wrong to call Richard, Richard?

Some years back I worked with a chap named Richard, and we almost never called him Dick. It was because of his last name being Head. He was said to have a brother named Peter and yes folks said his father had a sense of humor but it was a sick man who named those boys!

I went to school with a guy named Richard Haer (pronounced "hair"). No kidding. Typical junior high good off though, he wore the moniker with pride.

that's one of the problems, the rules aren't for everyone and some can do as they wish but if there is a reply in kind,
