    Interesting, my sons that are both tier 2 in the real world, and neither one has ever fired in a training class with men downrange.
    Not sure I would want to go to a class at home where that was being done.
    Can’t say I would have gone if I knew we were doing it, but we were spaced about 30 yards width and everyone was safety conscience. Probably would not want to do again.

    I had a multi tour Vietnam Vet buddy that would sit off to the side when people shot. Where we were had a decent dirt berm to sit behind. We were shooting true measured 600 yards and the berm was probably 20 feet from the target. His land, his rules but I always felt funny about it.

    I was also shooting at the Willow slough at the pistol range. One guy was watching and kept commenting that I was a good shot. The guy was more than a couple beers past being a legal driver. He wanted to stand on the range and have me shoot around him and at his feet "like the cowboys used to do" I could not talk him out of it, so I packed my gear and left. I did stop a ranger down the road and told him about it, but I never heard more.
