I absolutely love old cars and trucks. Especially 50's ford trucks, and late 60's mustangs. I started to restore a 67 fastback mustang a while back, and then we had a baby and I never had time to work on it any more so I sold it. :(

But now I am looking for a 53' f 100. I just want a plane Jane pick up to upgrade to power rack and pinion steering, and spray flat black to make a daily driver out of. I figure a fuel injected 302 from a fox body mustang and a 5 speed transmission would be an absolute blast to drive. I don't want a ton of power, and would like to get about 20 mpg out of it. So a stock 5.0L with mild cam would fit the bill nicely I think.

What kind of toys do you guys have?

I have a 68 Chevy C-10 swb step-side I'm currently redoing slowly. I've grown up around classic Oldsmobiles my whole life, my uncle has had quite a few over the years.

Maybe be a good Idea to get a 53 F1 Shell ( aftermarket) and put it on a 2wd Ranger frame. Seen it done and it came out nicely. Cheaper too

I have a 58 Chevy Impala 2 door hard top. Dad has a 58 Chevy Impala 2 door convertible. Both have set under cover, inside for 25 years, but we are thinking of getting both out again

My first car was a 67 Mustang Coupe with a C code 289 and C6 tranny.
I put the biggest hydraulic cam I could get in it, ported 302 heads with BIG valves, manual valve bodies in the tranny and a shift kit mated to a 9" rear end with a set of Detriot Locker gears 4:11 ratio. I've had a 68 GTO with a 400ci small block, an old Fairlane 500, a 34 Ford Stepside with a 332 T-Bird power plant, and even a little Eagle Talon turbo (quite fun)
But I sure miss my Mustang. One day, I'll have another.....

I love old cars. I built a 66 chevelle 4 years ago for myself. My dad has a 55 chevy post car we are building now. We build him a 32 ford truck a few years ago. I am getting ready to go down to Kentucky and look at a 51 GMC in the next few weekends. I will try to get pictures

While not real old (however it's 24 years old now), this is my '88 notchback

Here in the next year or two I'm going to freshen up the motor and change tire/wheel combo, then I'm going to start looking for a '66-'72 short bed chevy to play around with. I've wanted one ever since I was a kid and still can't shake the urge to own one.

Beautiful. I love the fox bodies. I have owned 6 of them within the last 12 years. I have built a couple 347 strokers, a mild 306 and a couple stock engines.

What are you going to build for yours?
