    They were open?

damn a steak sounds good right now. I think I'm gonna eat my neighbors dog

Yeah, they were closing at 9pm tonight. They had a fair amount of business considering the weather. It was nice to get out of the house and have a nice dinner and scout out the roads for tomorrow.

We are scheduled to look at a house tonight, the realtor just called and was implying she would like to cancel, and my wife pretty much said, sorry boutcha but we are coming. I can only imagine the realtor is a little pissed right now.

Mr88GT went in to work today. Sent an email when he got in saying roads were super slick, basically iced over, but that in some places there was a layer of snow to help with some traction. It took him 45 minutes to get to work. It's normally a 15 minutes drive. Across 70 and in to downtown. He says only about 25% of the salaried work force was in at 9am. Might have been more that came in later, but not much more than half, I would guess. Traffic in front of my house (a busy thoroughfare for my area) is thin and slow. It's also fun to watch the small cars try and get out of the neighborhood as we have a slope to the main street.

Nah. Probably just irritated. But that's what passive aggressive gets ya.

Well now that its warming up maybe the salt will start working. We are going to take backroads too, stay away from traffic. Not to worried about our driving, but the idiots around us.

Yeah, who would've thought 6 above was warm? This afternoon was the first time I didn't have to put on the hunting bibs, hunting coat, balaclava, and gloves just to take the dog out to potty.

This, I had a SUV tailgating me today, yes I was driving slow, I guess he thought I should go faster, I didn't. 4WD on ice means you have four spinning tires instead of two.

I just had to go out to get dog food. Roads are still crap. I'll be glad to see it start melting, but then I'll be griping about the salt spray for a couple of days. :):

4+ hour round trip from Martinsville to E 56th St and back today. SR 37 was ice city most of the way, although I did see a couple of slide offs and one collision, most drivers were actually being cautious. 465 NE from 37 was decent to good to horrible with no real pattern as to why. Salt trucks were dropping and it looked like it was starting to make a little difference.
