I'll be sure not to pet any monkeys should I happen to see one wandering down my road. That's the only "precaution" I'm prepared to make.
They call it bush meat. So don’t pet if they have the pox and don ‘t eat them either. They are not kosher so to me they are not food.

The new strain is transmitted via shared bed sheet’s and clothing of those pussing so to speak plus intimacy. It is not airborne so for the mst part easy to deal with, mask goggles gloves if treating the infected.

10 precent mortality in children and 4 precent in adults currently but the effected countries have basically zero food supply and no health care system. When it then comes to the world you will see it drop much lower.

With the Olympics in France lately I bet Paris already has infections.

Last time around with the monkeypox we were still under a mask mandate at work. I know 3 guys that work in this facility that were mask fanatics at work that all came down with the pox and missed a couple of weeks of work. The irony in all of that is breathtaking. Im guessing that they were not wearing masks or any other kind of protection at the events where they got the pox.

My understanding is that monkeypox is primarily transmitted sexually. So, if you see a monkey - just try to restrain yourself. Think of the children.
It is spread similar to the ways that smallpox and chickenpox are spread.

    "
The mpox virus spreads from person to person through:
    • Direct contact with rashes, scabs or body fluids of a person with mpox.
    • Extended close contact (more than four hours) with respiratory droplets from an infected person. This includes sexual contact.
    • Clothes, sheets, blankets or other materials that have been in contact with rashes or body fluids of an infected person.
    • An infected pregnant person can spread the mpox virus to a fetus.

Just seems to be primarily gay men that are engaging in these behaviors.
