    Speaking of heavy . . .

    The all stainless P226 (discontinued) is freakin' heavy.
    I handled one of these at Midwest close to a year ago that they had. It was a solid feeling pistol. He gave me the sales push but I decided I didn't need it. I still have regrets occasionally.

    It's one of the best shooters I've encountered. The weight makes recoil almost negligible.

    I got it used at a short trigger and SRT trigger group had already been installed. It was okay then, but then I had my brother install the E2 grip on it to help me reach the trigger. That was a success, but an unexpected benefit is that the mainspring in the E2 grip made the trigger pull lighter and smoother in double action. Win-win!
