Im not a big whiskey fan at all but I tell ya what, Crown Royal Reserve is some good s***. Pricey but worth it at 43$ for 750ml. Wish they sold it in pints or half pints around here. I found the smaller bottles in the indy area years ago.
AmenMonkey Shoulder Scotch whiskey is a nice starter if you wanted to get into the Scotch world. It has a nice amount of smoke without being overbearing.
Big fan of the American Prairie Bourbon from HIGH WEST!They make quite a few good options.
Bour-Rye ... which is obviously a blend of bourbon & rye
American Prairie Reserve ... which is a bourbon
They have several others. I believe most are ryes or rye blends.
Big Red always has it, and I've purchased it at Kahns as well.
Up for more suggestions. I'm just getting into the sippin' whiskey. I started with Jameson Irish. I enjoy it.
Got 12 yr McCallan, 12 yr Glenlivet, 10 yr Glenmorangle, 16 yr Lagavulin, and a 12 yr Highland Park in the cabinet, does that count? No Scotch guys?
