Do you have any handguns from any of the manufacturers? The ability to use the same magazines as a handgun you already is one of the great perks of the sub2000.

Combining the above, which is more important to you; the relative availability of factory 33 rnd mags, or ability to use the mags of other, non-Glock guns you may own/carry?

My S&W Sub 2K operates with Ruger P-series mags (lots of these, including 32 rounders) with the modification of filing a slot in the appropriate place. 17 or 15 rounders with a lip at the bottom don't work, but those are few. Modified mags will fit any older S&W, the Sub, all Ruger P-series pistols and the PC9.

I have S&W version. Never had a misfire, or failure to load.....prob 2500 rnds thru it. (3)30 rnd mags and a 10 rnd in the bag at all times.......so loaded with 100 rnds ready to hit the door. Considering adding a rail kit to it, or machining one myself......any thoughts on that? aftermarket bolt-ons?

I added one to mine. I can't fold it without taking the optic off. I did this a year ago, shot many Steel matches including the State Championship and it is still strong a year later. Granted it hasn't seen any real abuse.

I'd love to find one of the 2ks that accepts the 9mm Glocks for sale in the northern part of the state... Anyone, anyone...

Could you use an offset mount (like for a Dragonov, for example) or a flip to the side mount that would allow you to keep an optic attached but still fold it?

A company makes one...Red..something, google can show you. Its about $150 though. Ppl have used door hinges for a custom setup.
