At that price it would have been worth taking a risk on it.Yes and sold out now.
I own an RIA Ultra FS 10mm 1911. It's been perfect. I'm using Wilson combat magazines the RIA magazine I've not had any problems with aa well.At that price it would have been worth taking a risk on it.

RIA has excellent customer service.
So it's not really a risk imo.
Edit:
I forgot about the thumb safety was really loose and I sent it to RIA out to Utah. They had it back to me in 2 weeks iirc. They had to fit another thumb safety.
Other than that it's been good.
Did they send you a replacement?Had a bad experience with them and their Baby Rock but then again that really was not a1911. Firing pin broke on 1st shot.
IDK...but I'd probably stick to a steel frame with a .45 acp...What about the 45 acp version? Wonder what recoil would be like with that light of a frame?
Purchased it at a lgs that had a quasi gunsmith that replaced the firing pin two over 6 weeks this was years before the current nonsense to fix it, and he scratched the frame in the process. Then wanted me to pay for him to restore the damaged finish.Did they send you a replacement?
Got mine at $400. Wanted a range gun in 1911 without the kick of my Star aluminum frame .45acp. Looks like something you'd expect to come out of a crate from WWII. Shoots great and after some cool hand grips (ivory and rosewood) and a quick polish of the slide with WD40 and 1500 grit paper it looks great. Very happy with this purchase.$300?…
