Where to buy a Colt XSE?

I'm looking to purchase a Colt XSE Stainless Govt model. I see very few Colts in gun shops. Does anyone know of a good dealer to purchase through? I would rather not buy online as I prefer dealing face-to-face. By the way, I'm in the Terre Haute area but I do not mind driving a bit for a good deal.

I believe that Plainfield Shooters supply carries Colt's. I remeber seeing one at their table at the 1500 in Indy last weekend.

Elmore's in the Greenwood area has a steady supply of Colt 1911 series pistols. Prices vary but he is all about 1911's.

Both of the Colt XSE's that I saw at the gun show were right around $900. One was $895 and the other was $925. I do not remember which one was from Plainfield. The only thing you can do is call them.

Elmores has the best stock of high-end 1911s you'll see in Indy, or most anywhere really. They'd be most likely to have the XSE.

It's amazing how many guns Elmore's has for being a little shop. They probably have more 1911's than the rest of the gun shops in the Indy area combined.

Good advice on Elmores - I have also been looking for one for a bit, too. Buds has been out for some time. Good luck - please let us know when/where you snag one!
