I have owned 2 SCCY cpx's. They are dependable, not very accurate but inexpensive(I paid less than 200)and
they are American made. Their customer service is VERY good.

I don't have a SCCY now, but I do have a Canik Shark C. A very high quality CZ clone. Super accurate, good trigger and just fun to shoot.
Some people don't like the fact that they have a manual safety (no decocker), but you can carry them condition 1.

I also have a Bulgarian Makarov and a CZ70, both dependable and under 400.

thanks for addressing both guns I mentioned. Good feedback bro!

Thanks for all the good input. I looked at the SCCY but decided to order the Canik TP9 in Titanium. It won't be my EDC but I like the 18 round capacity. Many great features and included accessories for $319 was hard to beat. I'll let you know once I take it over to BGF for a little test drive.

I fancy a Styer m9A1 a little over 400$ but ya cant beat 300 for a canik, these guys are getting popular quick, if my budget allowed me only to spend this much these would be my 2 choices.

I bought 3 CZ75 pre-b pistols for right around a grand a couple of yrs ago. Since that kind of deal is hard to find nowadays, I think the turkish SAR and CANIK pistols are generating some real good reviews. I want a shark fc for my next pistol.

I have a pair of Gen II Glocks (a 19 and a 23) that I purchased still NIB in 2010 and they work well enough for me...I will be sticking with those!

under $400 that I have owned or still own

SW 5906 police trade in - shined it up runs great

SCCY CPX2 - no complaints for the $$

    Shield 9mm - everyday carry

LCP - not a favorite but super concealable

CW380 - also not a favorite but much easier to handle than the LCP and only marginally bigger

    ruger - sr45 shoots sweet

    ruger 22/45 - all good

    ruger sr22 - also nice

my favorite faves are over 400 - but the 5906 and shield are near the top too
