Ruger Blackhawk revo in .30 Carbine cal. That thing didn't just go bang, it SCREAMED.

That is my answer too. I have my dad's after he passed. When I was a kid he would bring that out to the range with some handloaded rounds that made 44 magnum shooters stop, turn around, and ask "what the hell was that?".

my Savage .308 is probably the loudest; however, I have a beretta 21a 22lr that is amazingly loud for its size, makes the pistols sound quiet.
