$80 Marlin Model 60 that needed a $10 part (buffer block) and some serious cleaning to get running again. I've put another few hundred rounds through it!
I've got several freebies from family, but they don't count.....
I sold some chump a Marlin 60 with a bulged barrel for $80 and told him it just needed a $10 part.

Bersa Thunder .380 $225. Came with two boxes of ammo and an extra magazine... At the time that made the price of the gun ~$160. ($30 of ammo and $35 for a magazine.)
On a percent saved basis, probably 2 marlin 795 rifles fully prepped for Appleseed with 2 magazines each, detachable sling swivels, Tech Sight aperture sights, Midway shooting mats and rifle cases for $200 total. They had been used for one Appleseed shoot, each. That generous seller has helped a total of 6 people get involved in the shooting sports through Appleseed, and I used one of them to get my Rifleman patch. In terms of nicest gun for least money, probably my full house custom Wilson Combat 1911 built on a stainless Colt frame and slide with all WC parts that put 5 shots in one hole at 25 yards on its test target, and which I picked up for $850 with extra ammo and magazines. It would take the Colt frame and slide plus $2500 to build that gun today. My INGO forum friends have been good to me!
Remington 700 in .300 Ultra mag. with under 50 rounds through it. Ported, trigger job, bedded and free floated, trijicon scope and a box and a half of shells. 700 bucks.
